What I collect

What you give me: when you send a form, request the guide, or contact me, I receive what you typed — typically your name, email, phone number if you offer it, and whatever you tell me about your situation. If we work together on a mortgage, I'll collect the property and financial details a lender application requires, always directly from you and with your knowledge.

What the website collects: standard technical basics (browser type, pages visited) via server logs. This site does not run advertising trackers.

How it's used

• To answer you and provide what you asked for (the guide, a consultation, an assessment).
• To send the email series you opted into when requesting the guide — every email has a one-click unsubscribe, per Canada's anti-spam law (CASL).
• To process a mortgage application with a lender, if you choose to proceed.
• To meet legal and regulatory record-keeping obligations (FSRA-licensed activity is documented activity).

Who else sees it

No one, except the service providers that make the website work (form processing and email delivery providers), lenders and professionals involved in a file you've asked me to proceed with (for example, the lawyer providing your independent legal advice), and authorities where the law requires it. Your information is never sold, rented, or traded — to anyone, ever.

Your rights

Under Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask me at any time to show you the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to records I'm legally required to keep). Email [email protected] or call 647-231-3910 — I respond within 30 days, usually much faster.

Practical details

• Security: reasonable technical and organizational safeguards protect your information; no internet transmission is perfectly secure, so share sensitive financial details by phone or in person if you prefer.
• Retention: information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it, plus legally required retention periods for mortgage files.
• Links: this site links to government and community resources; their privacy practices are their own.
• Changes: updates to this policy appear on this page with a new date.
